I installed a new 160GB serial HD. Wanted to use my old 40GB as extra storage. Deleted partitions, formatted and installed a partition so I could use the total volume. Booted my machine and I get a BOOT DISK ERROR. I check the BIOS. It has my old HD in 1st priority. I change to the new HD, save and exit. On rebooting I get the same error message. I unhook the old HD and reboot. The system starts fine. I turn the machine off, reconnect the old drive and reboot. Everything comes up OK. I reboot again and I get the error message. For some reason I get one good boot with the old HD connected before I get the error message again. I check the BIOS when I get this and it shows the old HDin 1st priority. I don’t understand what’s going on. Does anyone?
