I installed one 128MB non-parity SDRAM DIMM stick on my K6-300/64MB (2-32MB EDO SIMM parity stick)
with W98 O.S. and the monitor remained black from
the boot-up onward. The motherboard manual states
it can support both EDO or SDRAM (64 & 128MB)
for which slots are provided. I know there may be a parity/non-parity/non-ecc issue, but is the real cause of the black monitor, because the memory needs to be paired with either a terminator or another equal memory stick?
