While running Windows 98 SE I ocassionaly get blank items that appear in my task bar. The item looks like a running application only it has no icon or name (text), it is just a blank box in the task bar. If I click on the item it disappears. What are these phantom applications and how do I prevent them from appearing on my taks bar?
