I have a computer that user gets a blank screen all of a sudden. The machine is still on, but the screen is black. Once this happens, there is not other way to get control of it but a hard shut down.
He has also had issues with his video driver recently, and I have tried every one from the one that came with the PC up to the current. It’s an HP system with an integrated ATI Radeon Express.
I’ve done extensive diagnostics on his HDD with no problems reported.
I have also ruled out the monitor which actually does go to power save mode. Also, it can happen when he is working on something.
He is also using a wireless keyboard and mouse.
Any suggestions?
