OK – I have a problem with my 9 year old sons PC, he switched on but accidentally pressed the delete button & went into the BIOS settings. Not knowing what he was looking at he immediately switched off using the power button. However after that when he switched back on nothing appeared on the screen even though the PC itself was on & hard drives were working etc.
Also the power light on the monitor which normally lights green when on now goes to amber within a few seconds of being switched on. I’ve proved that the monitor is not at fault by using it with my laptop. When I attached the PC to a different monitor though I get the same result (ie blank screen & amber light).
The video card is an Nvidia 64mb AGP with no video on the motherboard.
Can anyone offer any advice please?
