blank screen on booting

when i switch off my machine from the CPU, the next time when i try to boot the CPU powers up but i get a blank screen,i don't even see the BIOS.when i switch it off from the main power then it responds after 2 or more trials.please help.

Power supply

Do you have a good power supply strip from the outlet to the computer. If you have a lot of power interuptions the strip does go bad. Usually they last for one year, perhaps two. Sounds like that could be a problem.
Another problem could be systemresources. You have too much applications that load up when you start the computer therefore draining the resources in memory, thus the computer is using Upper Memory. Usually that means you need more RAM or the RAM went bad. Hardware problems like this is a good sign that there is a problem with the hardware. Go to the Control Panel, look in the Systems folder and see if there are any yellow or red colors, if so those are your problems. If you cannot fix them it is time to bring your machine to the shop.
Computers start with one problem and then before you know it something else goes down.
Remember to back up your files before you take it there because there is not guarantee they can save them all.
