internet block

by colmgdonnelly In reply to Bloking internet

What your asking is not possible. AD group policies will not filter internet traffic. You could purchase something like "websense" which is fantastic or alternatively if you just want to completely disable outbound internet access on particular machines you should create an new dhcp scope and exclude "a default Gateway address". This will simply block the machine from accessing the internet.
Hope this helps

Remove your internet connection!

Problem solved.

I would be more concerned about someone accessing the network from outside through the internet connection.

" i am not using ISA and i have no firewall"

Install a gateway/firewall.

I recommend home, highspeed internet users install a firewall/router (hardware) even if they are only using one machine. Running a Business network without one is just crazy.
