Blue Exclamation Point in DHCP

By northwood ·
I have been studying about how to set up DHCP in Windows 2000 Server. When I launch the DHCP console( from Administrative tools), there sometime appears a blue exclamation point in the left pane. I have a seen a red exclamation point, but it’s the blue one that I don’t know what is means.

Does anyone know what this blue exclamation point means?

Blue Exclamation Point in DHCP

by vasanthraj In reply to Blue Exclamation Point in ...

The blue exclamation mark on the left pane of the DHCP console indicates that the scope is getting low on the addresses it can lease.

The excalamation mark turns red if you actually run out of addresses.

Hope this information helps you :)Regards,
