Blue Screen Error

By ljackson.desoto ·
We are getting a blue screen on the computer that is a stop error. It says if this is the first time you have seen this...check for viruses, remove newly installed hard drives, make sure it is configured, etc..... run check disk and restart.

We have restarted the computer regularly and tried in safe mode and safe mode with command prompt and the blue screen continues to come up. Any information woudl be very helpful. Thank You.

Hi

Please post the error you get when you boot up. This will help us find a solution for you.

Have you installed any new hardware recently? If you have, try removing it, then rebooting.

Good luck

Hi again

Can you generate the BSOD again and then write down the STOP: code near the bottom of the screen. This often looks like 0x0000000c (0x000f0... and sometimes quotes the name of the file that caused the problem. If you can post that, it will help a lot.

I am not sure the entire message will fit, but we'll try
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this sceen appears again, follow these steps:
Check for viruses, remove newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers, check your hard drive to make sure it is configured & terminated. Run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption and then restart your computer. Refer to your manual for more information on stop errors.
