Bluethooth related problem

By eberhard ·
Hi there -
I tried to use a Epson Bluetooth Print Adaptor with WINXP SP3 without getting it to work. It interfered with my Logitech Bluetooth setup and in the end I decided to uninstall Bluetooth and used WINXP System Restore. WINXP still runs perfectly but I now have over 70 Bluetooth Devices icons on the Control Panel. How can I get rid off them.

A couple of things to try

by Jacky Howe In reply to Bluethooth related proble ...

1. Click Start, click Run, and then type CMD and press Enter.
2. At the prompt, type REGSVR32 APPWIZ.CPL and press Enter.

Add/Remove Programs tool displays installed programs incorrectly

Also check
C:\windows\system32 for multiple *.cpl files with the same name. If there are delete all but one (1).

let us know how you get on.

Great stuff

1) & 2) did not work - not recognised as an internal or external command etc...

I found 81 extra bthprops.cpl files - deleting them cleaned-up the control panel.

Many thanks!
