Bluetooth is not a recommended standard for network file transfer. The range in perfect conditions is 30ft. This doesn't include walls which drops the signal rapidly.

The bandwidth of a Bluetooth channel working in asynchronous mode doesn?t exceed 720Kbit/sec, while in synchronous mode it is around 400Kbit/sec.

In comparison 802.X wireless runs from 11mbps to 54mbps.

For low speed data, (mouse, kb, pda, cell phones, ect), it is a perfect format.

If it still sounds like your cup of tea go this link at linksys and read more.
