Board Not Responding On New Build

By bob ·
Just put this PC together.
Intel D875PBZ board and P4 2.8E processor
2X 512 megs of PC3200 dual channel Corsair
60 gig SATA hard drive
8X AGP graphics card
Problem:
push the start button on the case and everything lights up, fans start, keyboard lights up, heatsink fan begins to run, but for less than a second.
It will do this every time that you push the start button.
All jumpers have been double checked as well as case connections.
There doesn't seem to be a short between the board and the case.
What could be the problem?

hi fine just remove the cmos battery short the ends for 5 sec but be sure to remove the power plug and fix the battery back it should work be sure to check even the cmos jumper if put in the wrong position then it acts this way plus the smps if its powerfull enough to provide power to the entire box if this does not work will give more things to try on
