I am the IS Manager for a $500 million dollar bank, over the last 4 years myself and my staff have participated in the incentive compensation program. Now my CEO is changing the rules and I need to “justify” my departments “worth” to the bank in order to continue receiving bonuses. He is of the mind that back office personnel are a necessary evil and that the loan and retail personnel could do all of there sales without the back office. My question is has anyone run into this before and if so what was the outcome?
