Book Collection Organizer

By ksmith ·
My mother has recently stepped into the digital world, despite my best wishes. It wouldn't be so bad, except she won't try to learn the simple steps first. She wants to go right to the more complicated stuff--which leads to numerous problems for me. One of the things she has been bugging me about a lot lately, is that she wants to be able to create a database for the books she has read, liked, etc...

I know of a few ways to accomplish this Book Collection, but most of them are way too complex for her current skill level. I did, however, find a program on linux that I believe would be perfect. It is called the "Alexandria Book Collection Manager".

All it requires the user to do is search for a title, author, or ISBN number and it will find all the information about the book and place it into a collection. It even includes a cover image.

The main problem is, my mothers computer currently runs XP and while I enjoy Linux, I think it would be too much for my mother to handle at her current level. Is there anything similar to this program available for XP? Preferably Free of Charge.

Thank You
