We have migrated from Novell to Microsoft networking. We use Ghost to image desktop machines. Ghost needs DOS to function. we need a new boot disk to log in to the Microsoft network and enable us to map drives to our image server. Our old boot disk worked well with Novell and IPX. Our new network is Microsoft TCP/IP only. We have both Ethernet and Token ring segments. We are a little weak on expertise with Microsoft clients. If anyone has information regarding this issue, I would thank you in advance.

To create a DOS boot disk: 1. you need to have a MS Server 2. Insert the Server Disk into the CD-rom 3. Insert a Floppy into the floppy drive 4. Click on Start 5. Click Programs 6. Find Network Client Administrator may also be found on the Server CD) 7. This will create the Boot floppy.
If it is the full software suite of Ghost, it should come with a bootdisk maker that allows you to make network boot disks for imaging. You have to tell it what kind of NIC, the share name, the server name to attach to and the domain. You can alsospecify the user that has permissions on the server.
