What would be the possibility of remotely scanning a PC for a virus? I have been using XP Remote Assistance for Remote Tech support and have been looking at UltraVNC for non-XP machines. Here would be the scenario:
Virus on remote machine either preventing internet access or using the infected files. I send them a boot cd with Knoppix or DamnSmallLinux preconfigured to UltraVNC SC back to my machine. I use F-Prot or some other Linux compatible virus scan or utility to remove the virus. NTFS support would be a must.
So, first question. Can you create your own bootable Knoppix or DSL disk? Second question, ummm what about the other stuff?
