Booting Bart-PE on a Linux system

by charliespencer . Updated 17 years, 5 months ago

I’m trying to boot a Red Hat Enterprise box with a Bart-PE CD, with the goal of making a Ghost image of the primary drive onto a network drive.

Bart gets only as far as the initial “Setup is inspecting your computer’s configuration..” line, then nothing but blank screen and a constant HD activity light. I’ve used the same CD for months on other systems, so I don’t think it’s the problem.

Can a RH box be booted from a Bart-PE CD? Will Ghost (specifically the ghost32 command line tool) be able to “see” the drive?
