BOOTMGR Missing

I had a problem with my toshiba laptop. So i wiped the whole computer by formatting the drive to clear all problems. It has wiped my operating system of Windows Vista 32 which was expected but now i cant load it back on. Keeps on saying BOOTMGR missing.

Can you help

Thats reprable if you have the orignal vista dvd. boot off the dvd and re-install or repair. should that fail you can always do a proper format this time :)
hope you didn't install on a different partition

Are you booting from the hard drive or the DVD?

Sounds like your laptop is booting from the formatted hard drive. During boot up, follow the on-screen instructions to enter BIOS Setup. Look for settings regarding boot options and be sure the system tries to boot from the DVD drive before trying the HD.
