bootup disk

By mikehuff88 ·
I have a Micron cumputer. I tried to run my bootup disk to reload my windows program but my computer read that the disk has a bad file command. Sometimes it shows the disk read A;/Hero. I went to Micron web-site and downloaded the 98 and 95 Boot up disk and it still did the same thing. If anyone could please tell me something to try. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mike

First, find a buddy that has a WIN 98 SE machine and make a boot disk.

Second, insert the disk into drive a: and your WIn 98 CD in the cdrom, start your machine, go to the bios and set the bootup where it looks for the a: drive first.

Third, let the machine start, then tell it to start with cdrom support.

Fourth: watch to see where the bios sets your cdrom drive letter. Change to that letter and do the windows install. Force windows to install to c:\windows.

This should do the trick!!

I also have a micron computer. Are you wanting to reinstall windows? If so you need the instillation disk provided by Micron. If you need that let me know and I will send you a copy. If you need another regualr windows boot disk, I can send that to you as well.

The problem is you have some corrupted files. Give me an email and let me know what you need. I will do what I can to provide those disks. (thrawn34@hotmail.com)
