Bootup Message – “Runner Error”

TIA for solution to eliminate an error message at bootup of Windows XP (Home version) on a Compaq Presario.

A small window appears with title…Runner Error; and text message…Invalid Backweb application id “1940576”.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to correct this annoying and recurring error message?
