Hello...

Something is inconsistent here. Possible workarounds I would try include:

Workaround 1. In "Network Connections", uncheck "Show icon in notification area when connected" and click OK. Then re-check "Show icon in notification area when connected" and click OK.

Workaround 2. In "Network Connections", disable and then re-enable the network adapter in question.

Workaround 3. Reboot the computer if it has not yet been rebooted since losing the icon.

Workaround 4. Uninstall and re-install the network adapter.

Uninstall: Device Manager -> Network Adapter -> Uninstall

Re-install: Control Panel -> Add Hardware

Did any of these help?

Usually this happens when you have "disconnected" your NIC. Go back to control Panel/Network Connections and verify Status=Enabled.

Hi!

My question might be a stupid one but did you check the status of this icon in the "inactive icons" option.

Right-click on the taskbar and go to properties. Down on the first tab you fill find an option to customize the way your icons will be displayed... or not.
