How can I pulldown the Broadcasts in a network?
Clients are from Win95,Win98,NT,2000Pro and WinXP Pro. Servers are all running NT Srv SP6a. There is one NT-domain with 2 Backup-DC and one PDC (of course). The 9x-Machines are devided in Multiple Workgroups and all are logging on to the Domain.
The network hardware is built around a Fibre-Switch from Allied Telesyn (100MBit)whilst subsequent Switches are 10 Cisco Catalyst 1900 (10Mbit w/100MBit uplink) and up to 3 8-Port-Hubs from Allied Telesyn and one 16-Port Allied Telesyn-Switch (10/100 MBit).
Broadcast traffic is about 90 percent.
Which changes in hardware and/or software configuration do you demand/recommend?
