One of my students came to me about a broken LCD screen. It isn’t severely broken. She said that she dropped it on it’s side, and now there is a crack in the bottom corner, under the surface. The screen is black around the crack and splotchy. She said that the computer was new, and thus is probably still under warranty, but she also said that her parents would take the computer if they found out that she broke it. Is there anyway for her to fix it herself, or for me to fix it? The actual crack is only about 2.5 inches long and it spreads from wall to wall in the bottom right corner, but the black splotches are only at the top and the bottom of the crack. Please help!
