I have this problem at home and now I have it here; when I do a File | Open in any app I get the usual Browse window, but the folders and files are sorted by date and I can’t figure out how to change the default, or how the default was changed to begin with. At home, a similar problem, but the folders and files are sorted in reverse alpha order (ascnd?).
