Hello People, I finally get to ask a question!
I have managed contract a browser hijacker which directs me to site such a www.copy-book.com, www.mamma?????? (can’t remember the rest). Anyway i’ve run MalwareBytes, Spybot, F-Prot, McAfee, Sophos, AdAware, Spyware Blaster, CoolWebSearch Remover and Norton in both modes. The only one to pick up anything (suprisingly) was Norton it picked out a file called IEDFix.exe and a folder called “resycled” with “boot.com” in it.
Ran BartPE deleted folder, files and all in the system restore folders (nasty) but still no joy. Intalled Mozilla, the virus hijacked that browser too! I’m really cheesed of with it now, almost to the point where i think it’s my ISP’s fault (silly idea)!
Sorry for the essay but it’s best to give a full account of the problem to get maximum help.
