Hubby ran all the critical updates last week. The pc rebooted, my son logged in and after a few minutes pc rebooted by itself. It then came up to a BSOD with the error message “NTFS.SYS Page_fault_ in_ nonpaged_area” Pc now will not load windows, either goes back to this screen or if I try to get into safe mode, tells me there is a start up problem and if I choose to fix it, pc just freezes. Trying to restore gets me nowhere. It is dell dimension I519. The guys from the Staples extended warrantee plan said they are sending me a new hard drive and motherboard to install to see if that fixes it, but there must be an easier way.
