How do I translate message to find what hardware/software caused this error?

If you can boot in Safe Mode but you get BSOD in Normal Mode, give a try to this utility:

solution lies in the error

Hey Jason,
the solution lies in the step before the error occured. i had them a couple of time myself but i thought over as to what was the last i did to the box, was it a software upgrade or an device attached to my box and overcame this way by reverting the changes. so what was it with you in this case..........

If I remember correctly I might have updated the graphics card driver after experiencing the blue screen the first time around.

I recently rolled-back the driver, waiting to hear if error message(s) come back again.
