try removing the drivers for the card, then re-installing them.
Or plug in the card and then boot up. Does it still happen? What about a system restore to before this started happening?

Have you tried the card in another unit? It could be toast.

I found this for you:
Stop 0xD1 messages can occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If a driver is listed by name, disable, remove, or roll back that driver to confirm that this resolves the error. If so, contact the manufacturer about a possible update. Using updated software is especially important for backup programs, multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, DVD playback, and CD mastering tools.
For more information about Stop 0xD1 messages, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base link on the Web Resources page at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/reskits/webresources. Search using keywords winnt, 0x000000D1, and 0xD1.

Hi

Have you also tried running the system file checker to make sure that the base files being used are not corrupt?

Click Start>Run and type:

sfc /scannow

remember to place a space between sfc and /scannow.

I would also try downloading an updated driver for the card. Have you tried installing the driver and then inserting the card, rather than relying on Windows to install the driver when the card is detected?

Good luck
