i was trying to install a driver for a sound card.
It installed, but i could not view other CD;only audio that played. Then i put in a software the CD drive didnot recognised it.The message that comes was debugged. what is really is the meaning ofthis terms and how can it be solved. Thanks

i can not tell the answer from your question. can you post the exact 'debugged' error message. if you take out the sound card, does that affect how the CD works (of course, no audio, but is it 'recognised by the software?)

From the sketchy info you provided, I am going to make a wild guess. See if the sound card has a CD Rom (IDE) port, and if so disable this. Do you see the CD Rom in the BIOS CMOS setup? Check that the cable is all the way on as you may have loosened it when you installed the card, be sure to check both ends. Look in device manager and see if the CD Rom is shown and has no problems. If the drive is in cmos and the cables are ok, and the sound card does not have an IDE port or it is disabled, you could try and remove the cdrom in device manager. Reboot the machine and let plug and pray find the device and install the drivers.

It can help determine what has been changed. You can run it, then post the results.
