I have MS Word 2000 and I use bullets and numbering extensively in documents of 150 to 200 pages. I have noticed that my document becomes corrupt (I get a message warning that the document may be corrupt.)after I have trouble with bullets and numbering. This last time I could not create a bulleted list using the medium sized dot bullet. When I moved the tab over I got different types of bullets at each tab. I tried deleting the whole section and retyping it, but I still could not fix my bullets. Right after this occurred, when I reopened my document, I got the message about possible corruption.
