Bumping old thread of mine :-)

Tags: Off Topic
I am not sure if my post at the bottom of the 3 year old thread would bring the topic to any attention.

I am not sure if many of the participants are still active.

ps: funny how the old thread got the tag "networking" :-)

Nostalgia

I never thought a mere 3 year old thread can be considered Nostalgic.

And note those days, a 300+ post thread was considered a never ending one :-)

What I dislike

by jdclyde In reply to Nostalgia

is when someone digs up an old discussion, and then people start replying to people that are long gone before they realize that it is an old DEAD discussion..... ~sigh~

This was before my time as an active poster it would seem.

Funny that OZ was just as rabbid about GWB back then as he is now. Some things are consistent in life after all!

Me too

by onbliss In reply to What I dislike

I was little surprised too about his reaction. He had the same enthusiasm and thoughts about the discussion. I thought his views were pretty consistent on mixing of religion, race etc.

Oh well you became active and created 2000+ posts that made 300+ posts look tiny :-)

But why did you reply someone with a post containg "." ? :-)

I love turning the faith directed inside out when they start using logic on me.

Morals and Values

by ProtiusX In reply to Bumping old thread of min ...

I read the post about voting for a black person or a Jewish person before voting for an atheist. You stated that you thought it ironic that one automatically equated morality with religiosity. I seem to remember a couple of Presidents (both democrats by the way) who were religious but not very moral. I believe one served in the 1960's and was unfortunately assassinated and the other served in the 1990's and was fortunately impeached.

Automatic irony?

by onbliss In reply to Morals and Values

Hmm.. I don't think I used those words. But I do hold the belief that morals do not have to necessarily come from religion.

That was the post to GeoBub (a.k.a Mr.Miami ??)

I remember that discussion

Its hard to believe that was 3 years ago. Did your posting to the thread bump it up? If so, what category was it bumped up in?

I think I know how it got the networking tag. Years ago many miscellaneous posts were posted in that category for some reason.

No it did not get bumped

It is no where to be seen. I use this thread to enter that thread :-)

Yeah, now that you say.... I vaguely remember something about networking. Anyway I have changed the tags now.
