Burned CD not playing in DVD player

By pggoodwin ·
Hello Everyone:
I burned a CD of family pix with Nero using a CD_Rewritable drive. I tried to play it with my DVD player and it comes up unrecognizable disk. I tried it on my son's DVD player and the same result. Any ideas out there. Thanks

The media may not be compatible with your DVD players. Older players can mostly read only minus DVD format while newer units can read plus formats. Which format did you use? Check the disk and see if it is a plus or minus DVD format.

In order to play a picture CD in a DVD player, it must be recorded in Video CD format. Nero should allow you to create a video CD.

i am thinking the pc you burned cd on had 'drag and drop' burning software that let you put some data on cd kinda like it was a floppy and let you add more later...read write multiple times
and that the pc's you are trying now to read cd on do not have this sofware installed. hope you haven't taken up any offers to format it.
go to nero website for better explanation and to download the softwawre you may need to install to read the cd and also if our ideas are off they have lots more

Hi

My DVD player will play CDs containing images so long as:

The images are .jpg format

The CD is finalised

Good luck

Are the DVD players described as "Kodak Picture Album" compatable?

Are the pictures in "jpeg" or "jpg" format - these are about the only formats most DVD players will recognise?

Some DVD players do not read CDRW's?

Have these DVD players worked with other "picture disks"?
