Business Name For a Computer Store

By nathan ·
I am opening a computer store in Iowa and am having trouble coming up with a name. I plan on doing repairs/upgrades, as well as selling used computers and new accesseries etc. I would like to eventually carry digital audio and video products. The only name I had been able to come up with was Bits of Technology but I have had some mixed review with that because everyone thinks that the name is too long. If you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

If you insist on your first choice.

What ever you do, they're right about length. The wizened ones among them may have also warned about getting too cute -- having to live it down years from now. And years from now your little enterprise may be long gone, or it may prosper beyond your dreams.

Yours is one of the neater pleasures of starting. Good luck!

Byte Me

Attention-getting and a good inside joke for the geeks.

Other suggestions:

Nathan's Computers - Who you are and what you do
Gadgets'n'Games - may not apply until you add the gadgets :)
Pea Sees - Cute. Pun. Probably not.

Stay away from names with Geek or Nerd in them. Check registered trademarks, your mileage may vary.

And the best of luck with your business.

I've always liked that name.

The domain name BitsNBytes.com has already been taken. But, the domain name NathansBitsNBytes.com and Nathans-Bits-N-Bytes.com are both currently available.

Go with Nathan's.

Why not?

Short and sweet. So it's not descriptive, that'll be on your advertising and business cards. Nathan's would be easy enough to remember. Sears, J.C. Penney and Walmart aren't exactly descriptive names either.

TechBits is good and you've got to love Byte Me.

Nathan's Computers, Nathan's PCs, Nathan's Digital...

I'm a transplanted New Yorker. You say just plain "Nathan's" to me, I think hot dogs. (http://www.nathansfamous.com/) :0 That may not be a problem where he is...
