Buying a new monitor: making the right choice
What its coming down to for me is "ms" response time in an lcd vs size increase. The two models I am considering are....
Samsung P2570HD 25" 4ms
Samsung P2770HD 27" 5ms
They both have a 50,000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio.
From what I have read, Samsung uses a black to black reference for its ms numbers. Apparently, lower numbers like 2ms usually are using grey to grey to achieve the lower number.
I primarily use the monitors for movies and some video intense gaming here and there.
My system has:
Asus ENGTX260 GPU
4g of matched corsair DDR3 1066 ram
AMD Phenom II X6 3.2g 1090T
My question is, will the strength of my system compensate for the 27" screen size @1920x1080 res with a 5ms response time to allow blur free gaming and vids at the larger screen size? Should I be looking for 2ms or will it have any noticable difference either way? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brad
