Bypass PC front-panel power button

By roelsb ·
Is there are a way to bypass the front panel power switch button of a PC with ATX power supply, so that the PC will boot on by just pluging the AC power cord?

Thanks for any help.

the front panel power connector from the motherboard and replace it with a jumper. Plug in the AC and you should be up and running.

Check the Bios and change the force power off option. And disable it, otherwise your motherboard may power off after 4 seconds. Also you may check and make sure that this jumper method doesn't damage the motherboard by contacting their tech support.

You will need to alter the Power On Setting in your BIOS to Start when Power is Restored and this will have the desired effect.
