Cable internet tweak?

I use cablw internet and has been tested at 623 KBPS for download speed, and a pathetic 53 KBPS for UPload. I would like to know is there a way to enhance the UPload speed?

My PC details:
466MhZ Intel Celeron CPU
544 MB SD RAM
Win Me
15 GBHDD, partitioned 10GB/5GB
Soltek SL-65DV P3 Mobo

anythiung else you need to know?

Oh yeah, everything up to date..

on the left hand side click on dslr tools there you will find speed tests and a test to "tweek" your system and recomendations on what to do and how to do it...

In many cases, the cable connection provider has limited the upload speed for their basic accounts. In most cases, a residential connection is 90% down 10% so there are very few issues regarding upload speeds.
I have seen in certain instances thatproviders over various levels of service depending on what you want to pay for:(examples are estimates based on previous research)
Residential: up=+/- 50 ($50/mo)
SOHO : up=+/- 150 ($100-150/mo)
Business: up=+/- 300 ($150-300/mo)
Enterprize: up=+/- 600 ($300/mo + a /kb charge)

I am aware of the prices for cable internet here. None are too cheap unfortunately. Thanks for the answer anyway. I found out they have the set upload but pretty much rocket speeds with downloads.

Talk to your cable internet provider, it's quite possible that they messed up on the upload capping in your case. And you can use other methods (mentiond at the web site in the previous response) to test your speeds as proof that something is wrong.

And don't let them say "Well, you PING fine..." Because they will try that just to get you to stop complaining.
