Cable Modem & DHCP

by california dead head . Updated 24 years, 5 months ago

I have 3 computers 1 is w’98 and 2 are w2k pro. A cable modem provides internet access for all 3 machines using a hub. Eveything is connected to the hub. The modem wants the workstations to use DHCP not static IP addresses for it to let. The modem assigns the IP info to the workstations. However it assigns different subnets so the computers cannot see each other. If I configure the computers static IP they cannot get out on the internet. I need to workgroup the 3 machines so they can see each other and still get on the internet???????
