Well, I just got my cable modem setup and I am using a D-Link Broadband Router DI-704P to share the internet connection to the rest of my pcs.
I have used the same hardware in the past with Verizon DSl and never had any connectivity problems.
The problem I am having this time is that I can get an IP address on the router from the modem when the pcs are connected. .
Here is what I have:
the the cable on the NIC from the cable modem goes in the WAN port of the D-Link router and the other ports have my pcs. I can get into the web page or config page of the router and my clients are getting all registered and just the only thing missing is the IP address of the router which should come from the cable modem.. It is displaying unreachable. Is there anyone that has expeience with Roadrunner cable setup. I am using a Terayon blue cable modem. Thanks for your help…
