I connect to the internet on my desktop using an Arris cable modem. It works fine. I unplugged the ethernet cable from the pc and connect it to my toshiba laptop and I cannot access the internet. I get an error message telling me to plug in a lan cable. If I disconnect the cable from the laptop and plug it back into the pc it works fine. Vista Home Premium running on both computers.
My laptop is still under warranty so I sent it to toshiba thinking that I had a bad lan port but toshiba said they checked out the laptop and it’s lan was working just fine.
HELP!!!!
