Caching content feature: is or is not working

    Hello,

I am pretty tired out trying to understand if this feature is worth or not. For what I have seen so far, it is totally bugged.

Are macOS Updates stored in the cache or not? For the second time (first when upgrading from 11.6.2 to 11.6.3, then the second from 11.6.3 to 11.6.4) I downloaded twice the update instead of gathering from the cache.

Just ridiculous. This feature is doing anything except what it is supposed to be.

Are you able to get this bugged feature to run properly with MacOS updates?

Is that bugs are plentiful. Report them, work around them and keep moving.

As to why it downloads twice it could be a checksum failure or the update code of the app/OS didn’t check.

Right or wrong it seems that companies see nothing wrong with downloading gigabytes of data.
