Calculating Viarables and constants

Hi,

Can you please help me with this question? I would really appreciate it
if you did.

how to calculate a cell of both Variables and constants together, for
example I need to calculate the deliveries that took place during a
certain month, from 1st to 31 of June, I can’t apply the function
countif because it will calculate how many a word was repeated in the
whole chosen column while with the word i have dates too!!

Date of Delivery

3-Mar
5-Mar
6-Mar
23-Mar
25-Mar
27-Apr
10-Mar
11-Apr
20-Feb
15-Jun

the above represents dates of certain event from Feb to June and I need
to calculate how many events during Mar or how many during Apr, how to
do it please?
