calendar sharing in exchange

By ofere ·
hi.
our organization use exchange 5.5 and we have about 100 users. some of the managers share their calendars so that their secretaries could update/set an appointments for them.
however, in some cases, when i send the calendar to the secretary computer, she gets the calendar, but the calendar stay empty and doesnt get all the appointments that already set up.
i would like to hear some good ideas about it.
thanks a lot.

Try to delegate the calendar out to the appropriate people and then have them go to FILE--->OPEN--->OTHER USERS FOLDER then choose their name and calendar. We use this in our School District and it works well.

I have seen this occur when the creator of the calendar has accessed the calendar via Outlook at some point. This changes the formatting of how the file is being sent. That's why the calendar shows up (because it is there) but Exchange can't read the format. If the calendar doesn't show up or an error occurs when trying to access it, then delete the person from the list of other calendars to open and readd from the global list, NOT the personal address book.
