I created a UDF in SQL Server (2000) that takes 1 string as a parameter and returns 1 string. I was able to search online to find out how to create a connection in order to access the UDF from MS Access, but I cannot figure out how to retrieve the return value of the UDF. Does anyone have a code snippet to provide as example of how to do this?
I would like to store the return value in a variable. I’ve tried storing it in a recordset but when I try to access the recordset Access tells me I cannot perform the action while the rs is closed.
I’ve also tried setting up a Command to do this but I just can’t figure out how to get the return value.
