Can C: drive be SCSI, 2nd drive be ATA?

by chico_woodhill . Updated 18 years, 7 months ago

I’m puttering with an old Comaq Deskpro 2000. It has an Adaptec SCSI
controller with an 18 Gbyte drive attached, configured as C: with XP
loaded.

Can I attach another drive to the primary ATA bus and set it up as a
second drive, other than C:? I would still like to boot from the SCSI disk.

Thanks…just trying to learn, is all…
