Can disposable vapes mess up phone batteries?

Alright so this might sound dumb but I need to ask because it’s driving me crazy. I recently started using disposable vapes, usually puff on it while scrolling on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S21 if it matters), and now my battery is dying super fast. Like it used to last all day easy, now it’s dead by 3PM even with light use.

At first I thought maybe my phone was just getting old (it’s like 2 years), but my friend said something wild, that the vapor or the heat from the vape could somehow damage the battery or sensors if you’re always holding both close together.

Is there any truth to this? Can using a disposable vape near your phone mess it up somehow? Or am I just being paranoid and need a new battery?

Keep in mind that cell phone batteries typically stop charging/holding a maximum charge after 2 years. Probably not related to the vaping.

It’s very unlikely that using a disposable vape near your phone would directly damage your battery. Phone batteries degrade naturally over time, and after about 2 years (which matches the age of your Galaxy S21), it’s normal to see noticeable drops in battery life.

The vapor from a vape isn’t hot enough or chemically aggressive enough to harm your phone’s battery or internal sensors unless you’re literally blowing large amounts directly into the ports, which could cause moisture issues. But casual vaping while using your phone wouldn’t cause that kind of damage.

In your case, it sounds like natural battery aging is the real issue. A battery replacement would likely fix the fast drain problem.
