I work for a small company. We have 7 laptops in an office that all connect to a secure wireless network. We are looking to create a solution for backing up all our data and possibly using the external drive to share files as well. It looks like an NAS unit (maybe the Linksys Network Storage Link NSLU2 – Hi-Speed USB) and some kind of external hard drive (maybe the Seagate 750GB) are going to be our best solution. Is there a way to get all of the computers on the wireless network to back up their data to the NAS unit automatically? does it need to be coordinated with the backup software on the external harddrive? is there a particular external hard drive that has software well suited to this? any help wold be appreciated.
