Can I have a little help with my Facebook?

By JADavis9 ·
WHY has it continued to say #!/ up in the Internet Explorer tab where it should say facebook or Jeff Davis for weeks now but it will change to one of those and be correct if I just hit the Home link? BROKEN?

I use Facebook on a clean and fresh Windows XP Tablet that had a clean install of Office 2003 and IE8 a few months ago. I do NOTHING dirty with it and it never ever leaves my desk. I use an external monitor, keyboard, mouse and have a MAXTOR One Touch backup drive and an Iomega CD-RW / DVD-ROM plugged into it all the time.

A little more explanation from me

@ Phyc - not sure what you are talking about
@ robo - before I go reading and exploring about registry entries and trying to learn about them and then ......
Please let me tell you to make sure you know that I'm really not trying to customize anything. I just want it to work the way that it is probably designed to work. Does that help any?

To clarify

If yours is not working as intended, then I would guess there is a corrupted registry entry that needs to be cleaned out.

It is the registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Window Title

in my case my IE says something like: "Internet Explorer provided by Acme Industries"

I would bet yours says: "#!/"
