Can I import my Outlook Express 5 rules?

By PCAssistNW ·
Hello.

On my PC I have two OS's (WinME on one partition, and Win2k Pro on another). I use Outlook Express for both, and I am sharing the mail folders so no matter which OS I am using, I have my email available. In my Windows ME Outlook Express,I have a bunch of message rules. How can I import them into my Windows 2000 Outlook Express?

Can I import my Outlook Express 5 rules?

Hi,
Yes You can Export them by using Registry editor.
You need to save / export the following registry key and then merge the export file to the other OS.
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{Identity Number}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\Rules\Mail "

To do this open regedit program, find the key, highlight it thne go to Files/export registry key with only selected branch.
If you use .reg extension in your export field all you have to do is double click to have values merged.

Good luck
