Observations with out getting in hot water with Techrepublic?
Well I have no problem viewing or reading the site, but the colors (back ground and the high contrast adds) do distract from trying to find and read things.
I go to my discussions and see three, four or more post’s from others. And I know that there was only one post.
It seems that allot of people liked the point system, even if it did not get them any thing. And they could trust a person more if they had more points.
The adds that take up more space then the posts from long time users, seems to belittle people and there is no way to stop seeing them. It is like the free sites a few years ago that only kept going by using adds. Even if you use a popup blocker they do not go away.
Just a few months ago your team said that any adds were from the people who logged on and was coming from addware on their computers.
I love the site because of the people and the interaction.
I have stopped trying to answer questions, unless the person really needs help. I belong to some other sites that I like and still give point?s for real help.
It seems that allot of people are looking for something like your old site.
