Here’s the issue… I have a Compaq Mini CQ10-120LA (CQ10-100 U.S. Model according to the BIOS) With an Intel Atom N270 @ 1.60GHz 1.60GHz, 2GB DDR2-800, 160GB 5400RPM SATA HDD running Win7 Ultimate… I want to upgrade my HDD to a 320GB 7200RPM SATA HDD… Now, I just finished a chat session with HP Online Tech Support and according to them my Netbook only supports 160GB 5400RPM HDD’s… and that I can’t upgrade to the 320GB 7200RPM HDD… also that my Netbook doesn’t support 7200RPM HDD’s… Is that actually true?? Am I stuck with my 160GB 5400RPM HDD?? Why is it that I can’t upgrade according to them?? What might happen if I actually did try to upgrade my HDD?? I already purchased the 320GB 7200RPM HDD and I should get it in a few days… NOW… I also purchased an external SATA 2.5″ USB 2.0 HDD enclosure just in case… so my other issue is I can theoretically install Win7 to the new HDD thru the USB case and boot from there… right??? PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!!!! Thanks in advance for any and all feedback!!!
